Enovix appointed Steve Bakos as senior vice president of worldwide sales as it moves deeper into commercial execution.
Bakos joins from Infineon Technologies, where he was vice president of corporate account sales for large global accounts, including Apple. He brings more than 35 years of sales experience across the semiconductor industry, with prior leadership roles at Linear Technology, Intersil and Exar Corporation.
The hire comes as Enovix said it is expanding commercial activity across smartphones, smart eyewear, drone and defense applications. The company said Bakos will report to Chief Business Officer Samira Naraghi in a newly created role.
Enovix also said it recently reached alignment with its lead smartphone customer on a silicon-specific qualification framework. The company said the new framework is designed to better reflect real-world usage conditions for silicon-based batteries than the legacy 0.7C testing approach. It said the updated testing extends duration and increases confidence in field performance, with results approaching required performance thresholds.
Naraghi said sales pipelines are “steadily grow[ing] over time,” while CEO Raj Talluri said the company is entering a phase where commercial execution must scale alongside technology development.
Bakos said his focus will be on building a global sales team, expanding channel partnerships and deepening strategic OEM relationships as Enovix works to convert its pipeline into customer growth. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 2.52% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $6.92.
