Koppers Holdings said Eric Brenner will become chief financial officer and treasurer on May 26, replacing interim CFO Brad Pearce, who returns to his full-time role as chief accounting officer.
Brenner most recently served as senior vice president and CFO of Nova Chemicals, where he oversaw finance, treasury, information technology and transformation teams. Before that, he held finance roles at Komatsu Mining and worked as an audit manager at Deloitte & Touche.
The change ends Pearce’s interim run, which began Jan. 8, 2026. He will move back into the chief accounting officer role on a full-time basis.
Chief Executive Officer and Chair Leroy Ball said Brenner’s experience in chemicals and strategic capital deployment made him the right pick for the finance job. Brenner said he expects to help build on the company’s financial foundation and drive disciplined growth.
Koppers said it has about 1,850 employees. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -3.5% to a price of $42.45. For the full picture, make sure to review Koppers's 8-K report.
