Cincinnati Financial said John S. Kellington, chief information officer and executive vice president at The Cincinnati Insurance Company, will retire on Aug. 7 after 16 years with the company.
Kellington joined in 2010 and led a shift to an architecture-led IT model. Under that framework, the company said it expanded agency interface services, including real-time download and upload capabilities directly into agency management systems, and developed the patented architecture platform behind its small business system powered by CinergySM.
Ryan M. Osborn, vice president of information technology, will take over executive responsibility for the company’s IT teams. Osborn has been with Cincinnati Insurance since 2000, giving him 26 years of experience at the company. During that time, he helped mature the company’s architecture program, reduce technical debt, strengthen standards and roadmaps, and accelerate modernization through agile and DevOps process models.
Chief Executive Stephen M. Spray said Kellington’s work transformed the IT organization and allowed the company to deliver technology changes “with incredible speed and accuracy.” He also said Osborn’s background in project management and architecture standards makes him the right successor to lead the next phase of the company’s technology operations. Today the company's shares have moved 0.87% to a price of $170.82. For the full picture, make sure to review CINCINNATI FINANCIAL CORP's 8-K report.
