Honeywell Announces Leadership Changes, Shares Drop

Honeywell Technologies said Billal Hammoud will move from leading Building Automation to become president and CEO of Process Technology on Oct. 1, replacing Ken West, who is leaving Aug. 31 for an external opportunity.

Juan Picon, who has been president of Building Automation Americas, will succeed Hammoud as president and CEO of Building Automation on the same date.

The leadership shift comes after Hammoud’s three-year run in Building Automation, during which the company said annual organic sales growth in that business increased from 2% in 2023 to 8% in 2025. Honeywell said that translated into seven straight quarters of high-single-digit organic growth and margin expansion.

Picon has been back at Honeywell since 2024, first as president of Fire Life Safety and then as head of Building Automation Americas. During that period, Honeywell said he helped reshape the Americas business around higher-growth areas including healthcare, hospitality and data centers, while accelerating adoption of Forge.

Honeywell also pointed to Hammoud’s role in integrating the $4.95 billion Access Solutions acquisition as part of his record in Building Automation.

The company said both executives will report to Chairman and CEO Vimal Kapur. Today the company's shares have moved -2.36% to a price of $222.33. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
