Trex Company Appoints First Chief Commercial Officer

Trex Company appointed Brian J. Taylor as its first chief commercial officer, creating a new role that combines sales, marketing and information technology under one leader.

Taylor joins Trex after serving as vice president of sales for North America at PoolCorp, where he oversaw commercial strategy for a multi-billion-dollar business, including sales transformation, pricing optimization, national accounts and digital sales platforms. Before that, he spent 24 years at Sherwin-Williams, including as senior vice president of global marketing and sales for the company’s $6.8 billion performance coatings group and as senior vice president of sales and marketing for its $11.2 billion North American paint stores group.

Trex said the new role will drive three of its five strategic priorities: building stronger ties with end users, optimizing channels for growth and improving data-driven decision-making. The company said the move is intended to improve commercial execution, deepen customer engagement and support further market share gains in outdoor living.

Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Sacred Heart University and an MBA from Pace University. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 0.99%, and are now trading at a price of $47.295. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
