Synopsys Launches $1 Billion Share Repurchase Agreement

Synopsys said it has launched a $1 billion accelerated share repurchase agreement with JPMorgan Chase Bank.

Under the deal, Synopsys will initially receive about 1.735 million shares. Any remaining shares will be settled by Jan. 5, 2027, once the repurchase period ends. The final share count will depend on Synopsys’ daily volume-weighted average stock price during the buyback period, minus a discount.

The announcement did not include a prior buyback amount for comparison, but the new authorization sets the repurchase size at $1 billion and immediately brings in roughly 1.735 million shares up front. Today the company's shares have moved -0.13% to a price of $489.90. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
